Kybella Chin Sculpting

Kybella^®️ is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment for submental fullness (the fat beneath the chin commonly referred to as a “double chin.” Its active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule your body uses to break down dietary fat. When injected directly into submental fat, it destroys fat cells permanently.

Each Kybella session takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. The number of sessions needed varies by the amount of fat being treated; most clients see meaningful results in two to four sessions, spaced at least one month apart. Once fat cells are destroyed, they cannot regenerate. The results are permanent as long as weight remains stable.

There is temporary swelling, bruising, and some discomfort following treatment, which is normal and expected. Downtime is typically a week of visible swelling. We walk through this in detail at the consultation so there are no surprises.

Kybella is a good option for clients bothered by chin fullness that doesn’t respond to diet and exercise, and who want a non-surgical permanent solution. It isn’t appropriate for everyone; we’ll assess candidacy carefully at your appointment.
