Lisa Martelly, Massage Cupping Therapist
I have worked very happily as an interior designer for the past 20 years. Approximately 5 years ago I was diagnosed with lupus and the quality of my life changed dramatically. I felt exhausted, sick and sore. I saw various doctors who all prescribed medications to treat my symptoms, but the meds created more problems. I finally turned to alternative forms of healing and that changed everything. I saw a naturopath who changed my diet and prescribed supplements and some other techniques to relieve my symptoms. Cupping is one of the modalities that he recommended and the effects were amazing. Almost immediately, my inflammation and joint pain were relieved and I was sleeping well again. I felt like “me” again. I’m so passionate about cupping that I decided to become certified so that I can share these amazing benefits with others. Helping others feel better has become so much more rewarding than interior design ever did. Making someone’s house look beautiful is nice, but helping them FEEL better is the best!
