Botox & Dysport Injectables

Atenuar as linhas. Manter a expressão.

Botox®️ and Dysport®️ are both botulinum toxin-based neuromodulators, which is a clinical way of saying they work by temporarily relaxing the specific muscles responsible for expression lines. Forehead creases, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the brows; these form over years of repeated movement, and neuromodulators interrupt that cycle without altering the face or removing its character.

At Spa Noor, we use Botox and Dysport interchangeably based on each client’s goals and response profile. Both are FDA-approved and have decades of clinical use behind them. Dysport tends to spread slightly more broadly, which can be advantageous for larger treatment areas; Botox offers more targeted precision. We’ll talk through which is right for you during your consultation.

Results typically appear within three to seven days and last three to four months on average, though individual variation is common, especially with regular treatment, where results often extend over time. The appointment itself takes fifteen to thirty minutes; there’s no downtime, and most clients return to normal activity immediately.

These are injectables, and we approach every appointment as a clinical procedure, not a quick cosmetic fix. You’ll have a thorough consultation before any treatment, and we won’t recommend more than serves your goals.

Botox for Chronic Migraines

Botox isn’t only a cosmetic treatment. It is also FDA-approved as a preventive treatment for chronic migraine in adults — a fact that surprises many people who come to us primarily for aesthetic reasons.

Chronic migraine is defined as a headache occurring on 15 or more days per month, each lasting at least four hours. Botox works by calming overactive nerves and blocking the pain signals that trigger headache episodes. In the landmark PREEMPT clinical trials, the largest clinical program ever conducted in chronic migraine, involving 1,384 adults across 122 study sites, patients treated with Botox experienced a significantly greater reduction in headache days compared to placebo, with cumulative reductions of up to 134 hours of headache over the study period.

Treatment involves a series of small injections into specific points around the head, neck, and shoulders, repeated approximately every 12 weeks. The FDA approval covers adults 18 and over, and the evidence shows that the more frequent the headaches, the better patients tend to respond.

Important note: The FDA approval for Botox applies specifically to chronic migraine, defined as 15 or more headache days per month. It has not been established as effective for episodic migraine (14 headache days or fewer per month). If you are unsure which category applies to you, a consultation is the right place to start.

If you experience chronic migraines and have not found adequate relief from other treatments, this is worth discussing at a consultation. The same appointment can address both your migraine concerns and any cosmetic goals you may have.
